TRBB:

Favorite childhood toy?

My imagination. Sticks became swords and guns, depending on their shape, and piles of leaves became an impenetrable fortress. Even though I also had a Nintendo, as well as countless Transformers and Ninja Turtle figures, nothing beats the imagination.

Favorite childhood game?

Freeze tag.

Favorite childhood candy/cereal/treat?

Zero Bars. Whenever my mother would bring home a six-pack, I always end up eating half of them. Cereal: Kix. I like Cheerios as well, but I always have to put sugar on them.

What of your interests, preferences, obsessions (movies, TV, toys, food, clothing, etc.) might be considered childlike or childish? Why do you love this stuff?

Cartoons. I grew up on the likes of Bugs Bunny, Optimus Prime, and Ninja Turtles. I was fucking batshit insane when Tiny Toons was around. I remember being madly in love with Fifi LeFume. I honestly don’t know why I love cartoons as much as I do. I just do. Although, having a love for them did aid in giving me an idea of what I wanted to do, careerwise, when I got older.

Did you have these interests as a kid? Were they developed as an adult, were they denied to you as a kid?

As I said before, I grew up on cartoons. But as I got older, I gained more appreciation for them as an artform and possibly a career path than something to while away a Saturday morning or weekday afternoon.
